What you need to know about DVDs
DVDs are recorded, or ‘burned,’ in several different formats.
Not all DVD players play all formats. We cannot stress this enough.
When burning a DVD, the DVD recorder has to do what is called ‘Finalizing’ to enable the DVD to play in your DVD player. Because the finalizing process encrypts, or overwrites the blank space remaining on the DVD, it is not possible to add new footage onto a DVD which has been finalized.

The DVD Ordering Process
Because of the complicated process of making the DVDs, they must be mailed to you and cannot be returned to you at the competition. Allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.
We will be recording DVDs in the Minus R (-R) format only. Minus R (-R) has been chosen because it offers the greatest compatibility with the most DVD players.
You will need to know if your DVD player plays Minus R (-R) DVDs, as some players only play other DVD formats.
We will not issue refunds on DVDs soley because they won't play in your DVD player. Customers will be required to sign the DVD order form, acknowledging the no refund/replacement policy.
We will record only on the DVD blanks we supply, which are TDK Minus R. This DVD brand was chosen after careful research and consultations with experts in the field.

DVD Pricing
First Individual Program Ordered - $30.00
Additional Individual Programs - $25.00
First Complete Group Ordered - $40.00
Additional Groups - $35.00

DVD Fee - $25.00
This fee includes the DVD and DVD cover, and replaces the studio fee we charge for VHS tapes. It is higher than the VHS studio fees because DVDs are more complicated to process. However, unlike the studio fees, which are charged per program or group, the DVD fee never changes.

Shipping and Handing Fee: $4.00

Sales taxes will also apply. Please call us at (530) 626-1710 for more information regarding sales tax, or email us at questions@randjvideo.com.

Please refer to our payment policies for payment information.

We highly recommend that you continue using VHS tapes during the competition season, and then put the year’s worth of skating onto a DVD. You will save a substantial amount of money in the long run by using this procedure, and will still have the luxury of taking home your video at the end of each competition.

DVD Transfer Services
We are now offering transfer services for your old VHS tapes.
Transfer servcies cost $29.95 per tape, plus a $4.00 shipping and handling fee.
