R & J Video was started in 1980 by Ronald Singson, in Stockton, California. Ron was an adult skater who purchased a home video camera in the early days of its technology. Ron had a friend videotape him with the camera while he skated. Others in the rink saw the video and expressed interest in having their skaters videotaped, and R&J Video was born.

In the twenty years he owned R&J Video, Ron's main concern was to produce the most professional and technically superior product possible for the skating world.

As a friend and protégé of Ron, I have owned and operated the company since Ron's retirement in the year 2000. He taught me everything he knew about video and it is with great pride that I, as well as my crew, strive to carry on Ron's commitment to excellence.
